主要用于电流互感器二次侧由于各种异常引起的过电压保护。该保护器并接于电流互感器二次绕组的两端，正常运行时泄露电流极小，呈高阻状态。由于漏电流极小（小于1mA），对该回路保护动作值和表计准确精度的影响可以忽略不计。此时保护器控制电路不工作。
